Safeguarding / Child Protection
The education, welfare and happiness of the children at our school are of paramount importance and we take safeguarding very seriously.
All children are in the charge of a class teacher who has responsibility for their well-being. We would appreciate you informing us of any changes in family circumstances which may affect your child’s attitude in school. We require an emergency contact number in case of accident or illness.
The school acknowledges its responsibility to help to protect children and, if necessary, follows procedures laid down by the Norfolk Area Local Safeguarding Children Board in order to ensure that all children are protected from abuse.
The Headteacher is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Child Protection. If the Headteacher is not available there are three deputy safeguarding leads: Mr. Hodder, Miss Palmer and Miss Pritchard.
If you are concerned about the safety of a child please contact a member of our safeguarding team immediately or go directly to Children’s Services (0844 800 8014).
